FOMO is not a reason you should be joining! True, this is only open once a year (because it takes a LOT) to bring it together. But the only reason you should be thinking about this is for you and your art... If you’ve enjoyed the free workshops which have been running this week, you will have had a taster. But this is the tip of the iceberg. This is a 12 week deep dive into making YOUR unique art.

Not painting like Nick, or like me, but uncovering what makes you tick, and how you can bring that out in your work. You can see the link in my bio for everything the program includes, but that’s kind of just the logistics... Read it and trust your instinct. That’s the first essential step. If you have any questions, you can message me and I’ll help if I can... I will be answering questions, painting frames and wondering why the fridge is empty... what will you be doing this weekend?

Ok, it’s started!!! This event is once a year and I love it!!

I know this stuff now.... and I know it works because it’s what made a HUUUGE difference for me and really transformed the way I work - and how I feel about it.

But I forget what’s it’s like when you discover this.... Yesterday the first video lesson was released and seeing the response was overwhelming. It reminded me why I devote a big chunk of time to helping this programme. If you are not yet signed up for the free Art2Life workshop, please do yourself a favour 🙂 💥 IT’S NOT TOO LATE 💥

Apart from a minor glitch and Facebook locking me out while I was supposed to be helping people and replying to 700 comments, all is good today. 😃. If you watched what was your big takeaway?

Oh the anxiety of whether you would get a card when you were 15 😝 Thank goodness those times are past. For Valentine’s today I will be setting up a creative space at home again.... the new studio is amazing but I need somewhere to create in the in-between times.

Also the Art2Life free workshop kicks off and I want daily explore time! (It’s not too late to join, first button on my bio)

We don’t do romance in a big way. I get flowers every other week as a treat to myself about 2 years ago, which never stopped 🙂 So, big gestures or daily every-day moments???

Colour joy! No limits 🙂 This is a colour I never had in my palette. I stayed with what felt safe because I knew how to handle it. Now I like to deliberately play with different colours because finding that zing! is one of the real pleasures of painting.

Are there certain colours you avoid? ( I struggle with pthalo blue because it’s so strong - someone correct me!)

We can’t be in the studio all the time. Today I have been mainly driving (an automatic for the first time... why did no one say how EASY that was! Makes even driving in traffic a breeze)

Even when I’m away from my work I’m still thinking about it. This is from my mood board and when I wrote this I had no idea really how it would materialise ...
