Looping back to an experience of landscape but bringing the lessons of looser paint with me… multiple layers of soft glaze almost sink in to the board giving a softness to the sky, contrasted with the expressive marks below. Some paintings you’re not so sure of when you’re working, but once complete they just seem to age well! This is one of those… perhaps one of my favourites and if you love different shades of blue you have it in spades. You can really get lost in this…
