Landscape Unlocked

We live within landscapes of our own construction; what we choose to notice, what we allow to remain and what we cover over.

Using the recognised language of landscape such as horizon lines and boundaries, I’m also combining viewpoints of those we see in aerial views and mixing a sense of distance and close up views. This can bring a more intriguing sense of space and also allows a complex web of history and texture to build up within each painting.
