So far we have NOT done any foreign language lesso

So far we have NOT done any foreign language lessons (WTF), learnt bridge, done yoga as a family, established any kind of routine.

But we have got to the end of week 2 with only two minor family flare ups, mainly being fed, played one game of cards, hand chopped the dog a haircut (took 2 people 3 days), laughed together, slept more, spent too much time on screens, managed two individual yoga sessions, not run out of tea or coffee or wine.

Oh jeepers! I can’t believe I’m sharing this as part of #aprilforartists2020 and it’s introduction day. (it’s nice to be told what to do sometimes!) So this is me. With the fuzzy hair and no conditioner c.1989 I think. This is also my mum probably about the age I am now, and my grandmother who also painted, sewed, cooked and all the things we are now appreciating more than ever.

Do you think there is any such thing as a creative gene?

Anyway... I live in London with my husband, dog, two teens, one extra current girlfriend who I’m convinced is keeping life stable!
I used to work as a graphic designer. I was given a snooker cue as a wedding present by my then work-mates. My children told me today I’m a good cook so I’m going to bed happy.

Maybe it’s the red wine 🤗

Reminiscent of a Cy Twombly painting these are era

Reminiscent of a Cy Twombly painting these are erased events from outside a pub. It forms a void. In recent weeks this has been filled with worry, nesting, contacting friends, cleaning. I haven’t felt much like painting, but it’s still all a valid response.

How are you? I’ve also gone from weird dreams to sleeping more. Deep rest. That’s not a bad thing. In the main, we are still safe. The void will fill with new creativity.

Today we also celebrated my parents 52 years of marriage via WhatsApp... a first for them! Another reminder of inevitable ups and downs and long term commitment.

We may be on a pause but what’s your core is still the same.

Oh this felt so good! Have had many wonderful onli

Oh this felt so good! Have had many wonderful online sessions recently which have made me laugh, but this was so calming... I have added more support into Connected Artist Club at the moment. Today we have two co-create drop in sessions (actually there were three, but who’s counting!). Tomorrow we have a special session to help you share through live-streams and video for members with cancelled workshops. On Friday we have a social.... and of course you still get full access to the Hub with all the existing content to help you grow your audience and share your work.

As artists we work for the long term anyway, so now is a great time to relax and get on with some of those things behind the scenes.
Or just come and join a group with intention and lots of giggles too. I’m not expecting masses of people, and wasn’t planning on opening at the moment, but I have been getting requests so do DM me or send me an email if you want to know more about joining us now.
