I’ve lost track of how long I’ve been working

I’ve lost track of how long I’ve been working on this painting. It probably has about 12 different versions of me in it, but it never felt quite right.... today I like where it arrived. Finally. Maybe?

(The other one in my stories has been through similar versions and the canvas is thick and smooth and rough with paint, but still not happy with that one!)

Really happy that Art Wave will be going ahead in September. I’ll be showing some pieces with @cowshedcollective in Lewes, Sussex and as you can see plenty of space in a nice and airy building with a collection of curated artists. Who else is keen for events like this to (carefully) re-start? Pics last year obviously!

You know when you are excited to make changes? This baby blue is too icy - I like the vivid brightness of it, but it can’t stay. These are 36 x 48” panels and it’s a fun challenge trying keep thinking BIG

This is the painting I worked on live yesterday... I promised to show those of you who were with me where that electric blue and plum ended up. There may still be more to do, but if anyone wants it at this moment in time as record of the weekend - send me a message and it’s yours!
